Why we exist
QuantumNova was born from a simple idea: the critical infrastructure of the future cannot continue to depend on security models designed for the past.
The encryption protecting most networks today was designed for a world without quantum computers. Traffic captured now can be stored and opened later, which means the decision to wait is itself a decision. For infrastructure that has to stay trustworthy for a decade, that is not a future problem.
Our story
Founded in Portugal by a team with experience in cybersecurity and network engineering for critical infrastructure, the company was created to answer a problem that had become impossible to ignore. The growth of remote work, cloud adoption and increasingly advanced threats had left traditional architectures fragmented, difficult to manage and exposed.
From the beginning, QuantumNova chose a different approach. Instead of adding more isolated tools to environments that were already complex, it set out to build a unified platform, designed to simplify operations, increase visibility and raise the level of protection across an organisation rather than in one corner of it.
Today QuantumNova works with organisations across telecommunications, mobility, technology and critical infrastructure, including pilots and collaborations with industry leaders such as Vodafone, Altice and Brisa, alongside universities and technology partners.
The company is accredited by Portugal’s National Cybersecurity Centre and takes part in the Digital Europe Programme for post-quantum projects.

Pioneering post-quantum remote access
QuantumNova became Europe's first company to bring post-quantum cryptography to real-world remote access with the launch of its first product, QS-P Network, short for Quantum-Safe Private Network.

Technology meets real-world infrastructure
Named one of Portugal's 10 most promising startups and successfully validated post-quantum connectivity with Altice Labs.
- 2026
From startup technology to critical infrastructure
QS-WAN launches, followed by one of Europe's first post-quantum secure healthcare connectivity deployments, delivering a 70+ billion times improvement in effective data transport capacity while preserving quantum-secure key distribution.

Some of us spend our days deep inside security systems and code. Others decide how those systems should feel for the people using them, or find the clearest way to explain something that was never simple to begin with.
