Cookies Policy

What this website stores on your device, why, for how long, and how to refuse it.
What a cookie is
A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to keep. It lets the site remember something between one page and the next, such as the language you chose.
Some cookies are necessary for a website to work at all. Others exist to measure behaviour or to advertise. This page tells you which ones this website uses, and the list is short.
The cookies this website uses
Both of the cookies below are strictly necessary. Neither identifies you, tracks you across other websites, nor is used for advertising.
| Cookie | Set by | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
hcdn | Hostinger, our hosting provider | Routes your request through the content delivery network so pages load from the nearest location | Session, deleted when you close the browser |
pll_language | Polylang, our language plugin | Remembers which of our four language versions you chose, so you are not sent back to English on every page | 12 months |
Other things stored locally
Your browser also keeps one entry in session storage, wpEmojiSettingsSupports, which WordPress uses to check whether your device can display emoji characters. It is not a cookie, it contains no personal data, and it is deleted when you close the tab.
Cookies we do not use
We do not use analytics cookies, advertising cookies, or social media cookies on this website, and nothing here profiles you or follows you to other sites.
If that changes, this page changes with it, and we will ask for your consent before setting anything that is not strictly necessary.
Content loaded from other companies
Some websites serve parts of a page from other companies, and your browser has to ask them for the file. That request carries your IP address, which is how the internet works, even when no cookie is involved.
This website does not do that. Every file a page needs, including the typefaces, is served from this domain. Nothing about your visit reaches another company unless you send us something yourself, and if that ever changes it will be written here first.
Consent
Under the ePrivacy Directive, consent is required before storing cookies that are not strictly necessary. Because this website currently sets only strictly necessary cookies, there is nothing here to consent to, and no banner is shown.
Should we introduce analytics or any other non-essential cookie, a consent banner will appear first, and nothing will be stored until you have made a choice.
Refusing or deleting cookies
You can refuse or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings. Every major browser lets you block cookies entirely, block only third-party cookies, or delete what is already stored.
Be aware that blocking pll_language means the site will stop remembering your language choice, and you may be returned to the English version each time you open a page.
The settings are usually found under Privacy or Security in your browser preferences. Your browser's own help pages explain the exact steps for your version.
