Scope

Visiting https://quantumnova.com/ (the "Website") does not, by itself, collect information that identifies you. Certain features may require you to provide personal data.

This Policy forms part of our Terms of Service and explains how we process personal data through our online platforms and how you can exercise your rights under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

This Policy also applies to the QNova Client mobile application, including data processed through optional in-app telemetry and monitoring features.

 

QNova Client App Data and Location Processing

The QNova Client Android application may process personal and sensitive user data needed to operate app features, maintain service reliability, and support monitoring and telemetry.

  • Data categories: Depending on the feature you use and your settings, the app may access, collect, and transmit precise location data, device data, and app data to QuantumNova servers.
  • Examples of device and app data: This may include device identifiers, operating system and app version information, network and connectivity details, crash and performance diagnostics, usage events, and other technical logs generated by the app.
  • Purpose of processing: We use this data for monitoring, telemetry, operational diagnostics, maintenance, troubleshooting, security, and service performance analysis related to the app and the services it supports.
  • Optional precise location: Precise location is collected and shared only when you grant the Android location permission and enable the in-app data sharing setting. If you do not grant permission, or if you turn off the in-app toggle, the app should stop collecting and sending precise location data for these purposes.
  • Sharing: Location, device data, and app data are shared with QuantumNova systems and service providers acting on our behalf only as necessary to host, transmit, secure, analyze, and support the service. We do not sell precise location data to third parties and do not use it for advertising.

 

Processing Purposes & Legal Basis

We process personal data manually and/or automatically for:

  • Compliance with legal obligations;
  • Provision of services in the cement and construction supply area;
  • Management of our commercial relationship;
  • Operation of the QNova Client mobile application and related support services;
  • Monitoring, diagnostics, telemetry, and security of our systems and connected services;
  • Direct marketing (products, training, campaigns, events) — only with your consent, unless another lawful basis applies.

 

Data Communication

Your data may be shared with QuantumNova entities acting as joint controllers for the purposes above, and will be processed only as necessary. We may also disclose data to third parties when:

  • Needed to operate app infrastructure, telemetry systems, hosting, analytics, or technical support on our behalf;
  • Required to comply with a legal obligation or court order; or
  • Necessary to protect vital interests or for another lawful purpose permitted by law.

 

Subcontractors & International Transfers

Processing is carried out within the European Union. No international transfers are foreseen.

 

Retention Periods

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected or for compatible subsequent processing, after which it is permanently deleted.

When precise location data is processed through QNova Client, it is retained only for the period reasonably necessary for monitoring, telemetry, diagnostics, compliance, and incident review, and then deleted or anonymized where applicable.

 

Your Rights

You may exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction, and data portability at any time, free of charge.

 

Revocation of Consent

You may withdraw your consent at any time, without retroactive effect, by contacting hello@quantumnova.com.

 

Required Data

Fields marked with an asterisk (*) on our forms are necessary for contractual or legal purposes. If you do not provide them, we may be unable to fulfill your request.

 

Automated Decisions

We may create profiles that allow automated decision-making based on personal, economic, and/or financial characteristics. You may request human intervention, express your point of view, and contest any decision.

 

Security Measures

We apply technical and organizational measures to protect personal data against unauthorized access, misuse, disclosure, loss, or destruction. You should also keep your device secure (updated browser, antivirus, firewall, avoid untrusted software).

Data transmitted over open networks (like the Internet) may circulate without full security and could be accessed by unauthorized third parties.
